Why Full Spectrum Hemp Works!

Full-Spectrum, Board-Spectrum, or Isolate?

There are three main types of hemp products on the market: full-spectrum, board-spectrum, and isolate. Let’s start with the latter, isolate and see why full-spectrum hemp works the best!

Isolate is a very intense extraction method that involves a lot of lab equipment to remove a single cannabinoid such as CBD. Cannabinoids are components found in the cannabis plant such as THC, CBD, CBG, etc. In a very simplified explanation, the entire flower is soaked in a solvent like butane or hydrogen. The cannabinoids form a covalent bond with the solvent. The saturated solvent is then processed by rotary evaporation. The different cannabinoids are separated through the process by molecular mass into different flasks. The result is a product with a single cannabinoid such as CBD o THC isolate. The solvent is removed to be in compliance with FDA butane safety regulations.

Isolate pros: It is guaranteed to be a single component such as CBD. If you buy CBD isolate, it is only one cannabinoid. The CBD is THC-free and guarantees to pass all and any drug tests. Isolate is tasteless and scentless.

Isolate cons: It is restricted in the therapeutic window aspect. A lot of the benefits from the plant as a whole have been removed since there is only one cannabinoid left in the compound.

Board spectrum is the same basic process as the isolate but only the THC is separated from the other cannabinoids.

Board spectrum pros: The therapeutic window opens up and the benefits increase as the cann The cons are the process still requires a solvent.

Full-spectrum is a simple solvent-free process that heats the cannabis up to very precise temperatures to allow a physical bond of the cannabinoids to release from the plant and join onto a carrier oil. All the THC, THC-A CBN, CBC, CBG, CBD, CBD, etc plus all the terpenoids transfer over. The THC although very low (less than 0.3%) in full-spectrum hemp produces, it plays a vital role in conjunction with the other cannabinoids as it amplifies the anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving benefits.

Full-spectrum pros: Why full spectrum hemp works the best! That is because it maximizes the plant’s entire array of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids allowing them all to work together for the largest therapeutic window. The second big pro is there are no solvents used to extract cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. Therefore no need to worry about how much is left in the final product.

Full-spectrum cons: Full-spectrum can have an earthy taste and a slight aroma. By legal definition full-spectrum hemp can contain up to 0.30% THC, thereby, THC will show in the body’s system up to a few weeks after consuming it. Anyone who has an employee testing for marijuana is advised NOT to use full-spectrum hemp products. Note Pop’z only sells full-spectrum hemp.
